There's a light inside all of us that is dimmed a little every time we face difficult times. People have the innate ability to stay strong for a very long time, but everyone has a breaking point.
My last breaking point came with a revelation. Looking around our motorhome the last few days and reliving all the love we poured into "Roy" and all the memories he's blessed our lives with reinstated all the desires, hopes, and reasons this life is so fulfilling and beautiful for our family.
Some people call us strong. Some people call us an inspiration. Others call us brave. To us, this is just life in its purest, most raw form. It's about survival. It's about never giving up, and it's about our passion for this wonderful life and the way in which we have chosen to live this chapter of it.
Full time RV living to us is so much more than just living in a rig--it's more than seeing how much we can handle before we throw the towel in. To us, full time RV living is the possibility of doing, seeing and being more. It's about learning and growing, even if that growth is stressful, difficult, or ugly at times.
Living this way has taught us strength, creativity, teamwork, acceptance, and how much we are truly capable of. It has brought out all of our emotions in their rawest forms, and it has tested us constantly, allowing us to grow stronger and closer as people and as a family.
Being a hundred percent off grid was always a dream. We knew it wouldn't be easy all the time, but we also knew it would be worth it. We had to learn to keep that which is most important to us as close as possible during times we've felt tested.
I, personally, am still working each and every day to find and maintain positivity and to learn to sustain calm. That's what any life is about--constantly learning and constantly improving in any way we can so we are better, stronger people later on.
